General Terms and Conditions of Contract

Activity of the agent

The agent is authorized by the landlord (apartment owner) to conclude the rental agreement, to process it and to carry out all legal acts and transactions in connection with it.

Booking

The rental contract is only concluded when we have received a booking confirmation from you in writing (also possible by e-mail) within five calendar days of sending the reservation confirmation (the date stated in the reservation confirmation applies). If it is no longer possible to send you a reservation confirmation or to receive a booking confirmation from you in writing due to time constraints, the rental agreement can also be concluded bindingly by telephone. We expressly point out that only one parking space is available per apartment. WLAN is not a guaranteed service and no recourse claims can be made due to technical failures. In the event of the short-term sale of the rented apartment by the apartment owner, the agent is entitled to provide an equivalent replacement apartment.

Payment

The deposit of 20% of the total price stated on the booking confirmation is due within 14 days of booking. The remaining amount is to be paid by bank transfer up to 14 days before arrival or by EC card at our office on the day of arrival. The agent does not accept credit cards. Please state the transaction number in the reason for payment. Bed linen and towels are not included in the total price, but can be rented separately for a fee. For bookings made at short notice up to 7 days before arrival, we cannot guarantee that the beds will be made up.

Cancellation

In the event of cancellation up to 42 days before the day of arrival, a processing fee of EUR 40.00 will be charged. From the 41st day before the day of arrival, the full rental price is due if no other rental can be made. Cancellation should always be made in writing. In your interest, we recommend that you take out travel cancellation insurance.

Arrival and departure times / key handover

On arrival from Monday to Friday the keys are handed over from 3.00 to 5.00 pm, on Saturdays from 2.00 to 4.00 pm and on Sundays and public holidays from 1.00 to 2.00 pm. In special cases on peak days there may also be delays. On the day of departure the apartment must be vacated by 10.00 a.m. at the latest. Exceptions can only be made by prior arrangement. The keys are handed over in our office at Cuxhavener Str. 81.

General obligations

The house rules displayed in the vacation apartment apply to you and your companions. You and your companions undertake to treat the vacation apartment and the inventory therein with care. You must replace any inventory items that are damaged or lost during your stay, and you must also pay for any damage to property within the apartment.

Loss of the apartment key

The apartment complex has a central locking system. If you or an accompanying person lose a key, you must bear the cost of a replacement key. The agent and the vacation apartment owner are entitled to demand the cost of a new lock suitable for this locking system, including the key and installation costs.

Liability

Neither the agent nor the owner of the apartment accept any liability
a) for loss and theft of items and damage to items brought in by the tenant
b) in the event of theft of or damage to motor vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles, etc. belonging to the tenant, even if these are parked in the designated parking space.
The liability of the agent or the owner of the apartment shall remain unaffected if damage is due to a grossly negligent breach of duty by the agent or owner of the apartment or to an intentional or grossly negligent breach of duty by a legal representative or vicarious agent of the agent or owner of the apartment.

Pets

Pets are only allowed after prior consultation with the agent.

Miscellaneous

The guest contribution of the city of Cuxhaven will be settled separately with you upon arrival.
